Dear Friend, We are pleased to announce that Module 2 - 'Dementia risk - It's not all in your head' is now open. In Module 2, we start to cover in some detail the key modifiable risk factors for dementia, with a focus on the link between heart health and brain health. There is also information on the influence of diet and other factors on dementia risk, including alcohol consumption and air pollution. In 'state of the evidence' we discuss ginkgo biloba and coconut oil.
If you haven't yet accessed the Introduction or Module 1, there is still plenty of time to do so. In the Introduction section you will need to submit your yes/no responses to the Research Consent questions, to be able to access Module 1. You will then need to submit Quiz 1 at the end of Module 1, and achieve a score of 70% or more, to proceed to Module 2. You can have as many attempts as you need. You can check your quiz results under 'My Progress.' To access the course, including Module 2 if you are up to that stage, simply log in at mooc.utas.edu.au/profile. Enrolments will be remaining open until 3rd June (5pm AEST), so please tell your family, friends and colleagues so they can also benefit from learning about how to reduce dementia risk. They can enrol now at mooc.utas.edu.au/landing/pdedmci3 We look forward to seeing you in Module 2 soon. Kind regards,
